What sparked your interest with the paranormal?
I was raised in a culturally rich family, my grandmother was renowned for her connections with other people and the unexplained, she told me as a child that 'your face is your fortune.' and often, our family friends would inform me of my grandmother telling them things that she couldn't possibly have known. I guess that being raised living and breathing the 'paranormal' side of life had sparked my interest in forensic paranormal investigation and the science as I have always wanted to search for the answers that I never really had growing up.
Have you ever seen or felt a ghost?
I have seen and felt a lot of things I couldn't explain, which is why I am at this point in life, I want answers, I want final answers and I want proof but, I am sure, that is what everyone wants ideally.
Still looking for the proof if that is some consolation. ;)
If you could describe yourself in 6 words (any words), what would they be?
Eccentric. Funny. Existentialist. Wild. Caring. Punk.
Where would you you most like to investigate and why?
I would love to have the team conduct a full, 3 nights in Raynham Hall, Norfolk. Undoubtedly famous for the photograph of The Lady In Brown. She was once known as Dorothy Walpole and it was the first English ghost story I had read in a book when I was in primary school, I remember being more intrigued by the history of the place. The very tragic story of Dorothy, the deaths there after and the actual architecture of the building. The reason I would love to go there for a 3 night investigation is because, there was a photograph taken on the grand staircase of an apparition which looked like a woman in periodical dress. There has been no conclusive evidence to indicate that the picture was a hoax. It is the holy grail of paranormal investigators to capture a picture like that and I would love the opportunity to find it!
Do you believe in ghosts?
Well there has been no evidence to conclude that they don't exist and there has been no conclusive evidence to prove they do exist. Therefore... I'm most definitely still on the fence with that one, ask me again in a few years and I'll have your answer. heh.
What's your favourite tool to use on an investigation?
Well most probably a camcorder, not only are they great to use in the darkness but if used correctly on investigations, the camcorder can have amazing results.
How do you feel about your team mates as a whole?
Well I certainly believe that the team has grown, not just as individuals but as a whole. I have seen us build a sturdy foundation for Farnley Paranormal Society and we all have more logical and open minded views on what we expect from investigations now than we ever had. Sure we have had some bumps in the road but we work as strong unit which is essential for any organisation really. To be perfectly honest, I have made some amazing friends and we are a complete pick and mix of quirky and funny characters, we all have great ideas and bounce off of each other well so that helps a hell of a lot.
So all in all, what are your thoughts on the unknown and what advice would you give to anyone who wanted to pursue paranormal investigation?
Well I never have any final thoughts on anything paranormal and all things spooky, I keep searching for those answers and I don't think FPS are going to stop searching any time soon. But it's not all about the answers, sometimes it's about the questions, you have to know what to ask. So my advice would be, question everything and the answers you find? Question those too because there's no fun in conclusion now is there?
Love, Peace, Soya-Grease!
